Nature Photography and Visual Arts Blog of Michael Emmerich
As a scientist, I’ve had the privilege of traveling extensively, exploring some of the world’s most stunning landscapes and natural wonders. My camera has been a trusted companion on these journeys, capturing the beauty of the wild whenever I could step away from my work. Each photograph holds a story, and I’m thrilled to share not only the highlights of my nature photography but also the behind-the-scenes moments that brought these images to life.
Recently, my travels have become less frequent—partly for family reasons and partly to embrace a more sustainable lifestyle. Fortunately, living in the heart of the Finnish lake district offers endless inspiration. While focusing more on local excursions, I continue to explore the forests, lakes, and hills of this beautiful region, finding wonder in the nature close to home.
