The brown pelican lives at the coasts of the Carribean and Gulf of Mexico. It hunts in groups near the beach and swoops from a great hight to catch fish. In the evening it often rests on poles in the shallow water.
Making of: I was walking every day in the afternoon along Laguna Macax, an old Pirate bay in Isla Mujeres. At the North western tip of this lagoon many birds were seen flying from their foraging places to their sleeping places at the lagoon. Hiding in the mangrove jungle the big bird did not see me.
