The alpine rose garden of Jyväskylä, Finland is located in the suburb of Keltinmäki. Given that in May the temperatures are still sub-zero, it is amazing how fast the bushes awaken and are in full bloom already in early July.
Making of
We went with our baby in the pram to some nearby locations in June. The alpine rose garden we visited on a particularly sunny day. I had to use a fast exposure time and a high diaphragm to reduce the sunlight on the white roses. I wanted to capture the wooden path, the pink, and the white roses in one picture. The alpine rose garden is located in a pine forest. I am not entirely happy with the composition. Perhaps a wide-angle would have made more sense here. I was at 35mm.
