The venomous jacaral (Bothrops jacaral) stands upright and shows its split tongue. It is an inhabitant of the Brazilian cerrado and with its golden infrared eyes it perceives the warmth of its environment.
Making of: In the tres tipui nature reserve the jacaral lives and A. pulled it with a snake-rod so that it moved up. Thanks to my telezoom it was possible to make a photo, keeping the cobra in a safe distance.
