A little stern flies over the salt marshes of Ria Formosa.
Little sterns breed in the sparse vegetation of the dunes of Ria Formosa. When mating, the male stern catches a small eel and presents it to the female.
Making of: I walked in the Ria Formosa dirt roads near Quinta de Ludo. You can see sterns very often there. This bird was fishing and it came several times very close.
